Port Metro Vancouver, which is scheduled to have two
vacancies on its Board of Directors in 2013, announced Jan. 19 that it is
seeking applications in writing to the nominating committee for candidates to
be considered as board members.
The nominating committee seeks eligible candidates who have
stature within the transportation industry or the business community as well as
relevant knowledge and extensive experience related to the management of a
business, the operation of a port or maritime trade.
The committee is particularly interested in individuals who
have experience with major capital projects, financial risk management and/or
maritime business. Knowledge of strategic planning, business management,
government relations, legal or accounting, and current corporate governance
practices are also considered assets.
